Who am I?
If you found yourself on this page, chances are you’re wondering who I am and how I can support you.
Allow me to introduce myself! I am Jamie, and I am an EMDR therapist who specializes in Perinatal Mental Health and Trauma. I have a passion for supporting others through their darkest moments, while finding clarity and fulfillment. Like you, I have struggled to find the way and needed help along my journey. I believe in the power of connection and in the possibility of healing.
How Can I Help You?
I value you as a person and believe you have the innate power to heal. My goal is to be a guide along the way to help you rediscover your path.
If You’re Into Official Stuff…
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University in 2020 and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for New York State. I strongly believe in providing the most recent, evidence-based treatment to all of my clients, while still being relatable. I am an EMDR-certified therapist and EMDR Consultant in Training through EMDRIA. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International.
What Can You Expect From Sessions With Me?
Don’t want sessions with a stuffy, unrelatable therapist who makes it feel like there’s something wrong with you? Me neither. In our sessions, you can expect us to take time to build a trusting relationship where you can feel comfortable sharing vulnerable topics. I love getting to know all about you, and remember all of the important people and situations happening in your life. I aim to be a cheerleader for you and highlight all of your strengths and accomplishments. Above all, I strive to ensure that you always feel safe and supported during our time together. I also like to sprinkle in humor and fun, because who said therapy has to be boring?
Outside of being a therapist…
I love being out in nature (shocking, I know) and going on adventures with my husband, two young kiddos, and dog.
In my free time, I like to bake (and eat), read, and lift weights.
There are few things I enjoy more than bundling up and sipping on a hot cup of coffee.
